Religious School

Bruchim Haba’im! Welcome to Temple Beth Shalom Religious School! Temple Beth Shalom is a close-knit and caring community comprised of many interfaith families.

Learning is valued by everyone.

  • Our families are very involved in the school and are deeply committed to synagogue life.
  • We want our students and families to be lifelong learners

TBS is a second home to our students.

  • Students can safely explore what Judaism means to them.
  • We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners and their learning styles.

Learning here is fun and interactive.

  • Within our school we offer an engaging, experiential model of Jewish education to our students and their families.
  • Students learn Hebrew, rituals, traditions, prayer, Jewish values and ethics, Torah, history, holidays, Israel, food, and music through a variety of modalities.

More than learning, students are experiencing Jewish life.

  • Participation in programs to experience our rich heritage
  • Building relationships with members of all ages in our community

We offer classes from Gan (kindergarten) through Kitah Zayin (7th grade) and teen programming.
All of the research tells us that the earlier a child is introduced to Jewish education, the more likely he or she is to take on the values and to feel a sense of connection. We urge families to begin their child’s journey through Jewish learning in Gan (Kindergarten), but will welcome them at any point along the way.
