Welcome To Temple Beth Shalom

Brukhim ha-Ba’im! Welcome! Temple Beth Shalom is the Putnam/Northern Westchester Counties’ Conservative synagogue. We take pride in the fact that in we consider ourselves as one big family, and we welcome you with open arms to join our “family”.

Our congregation strives to fulfill the four pillars of Jewish activity: worship, education, community, and Israel support.

Our worship services endeavor to provide for the spiritual needs of all our members. We offer Tot-Shabbat programs, Junior Congregation and Family Shabbat services, weekly Kabbalat Shabbat evening and Shaharit morning services, as well as Yom Tov services, and the services for the Yamim Noraim (High Holidays).

We are committed to a life-long process of expanding knowledge and understanding of Jewish studies in all its forms: from pre-school to Adult Education, we provide programs and classes to continue the Torah’s mandate: “You shall teach them diligently…”

Our synagogue family is blessed with many involvement opportunities such as Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Hazak (age 50+), as well as chapters of Kadimah (middle school youth), United Synagogue Youth (high school youth), and Venture Crew (high school youth- Scouting).

We also have an active Israel Affairs Committee that is associated with the Westchester County Chapter of “Israel Now” to help support the needs of the Jewish State.

At Temple Beth Shalom you will find that Judaism is a proactive part of daily life: ready to nurture, teach, advise, sustain, and support our connections to God, the Torah, and Klal Yisrael—the Jewish People, around the globe. We look forward to your becoming an integral part of our TBS family. If I can be of help in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 845-628-6133 or at Rabbi@TBSMahopac.org.
